We, the undersigned citizens of the United States of America, petition the U.S. Congress to pass legislation setting the mandatory minimum criminal sentence for the illegal sale of opioids to be “25 Years to Life” without the possibility of early parole. 

 

It is our position that the illegal sale of opioids is

contributing to the downfall of American society and

is killing our children, family members and friends.

As such, the penalty for the illegal sale of opioids must

be so severe that it far outweighs any potential financial

gain from the sale of this poison.  

 

Additionally, we petition members of the U.S. Congress

to place stringent requirements on the manufacturers of

prescription opioids requiring manufacturers to report physicians

to the Federal Bureau of Investigation whose distribution of prescriptions for opioids exceeds the average of physicians in

the region by more than twenty (20%) percent.
